MOONEN BAY - Neist Point, Isle of Skye Fine Art Print

 This high-quality print is a replica of my original, one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas. Inspired by the iconic view of Neist Point which is the most westerly point on the Isle of Skye.

Perched on the tip of the Duirinish peninsula, it overlooks Moonen Bay. These sheltered waters are one of the best places to see dolphins, whales, basking sharks and seabirds nesting in the cliffs of Waterstein Head. I fell in love with this dramatic view, and all I could think about was how peaceful it must be here. Painting cliffs and mountains is one of my obsessions recently; combining them with the beauty of the ocean brought a different kind of meaning to me.

Thinking about how deep the ocean is made me realise that people are like islands in a sea - we may appear separate from one another on the surface but we are connected underneath. This painting is about balance: human beings need stability and firmness just like mountains do; however, we also need freedom like oceans have - freedom from rules or conventions that hinder us from reaching our full potential as human beings. While mountains and cliffs represent stability and silence (they don't have any natural predators), oceans carry with them an unstoppable power - their vastness often reminds us of our own fragile mortality.
 

THE PRINTING

We use the finest quality, archival, acid-free Soft Textured Natural White Giclée fine art paper.

Giclée fine art printing creates an incredibly delicate stream of archival quality ink in a fine dot pattern, resulting in vivid pure colour, exceptional detail and the most stable colour printing process available today. In combination with our archival quality, acid-free papers and stretched cotton canvases, our giclée prints are gallery quality, high-end fine art prints. We use ICC colour management to calibrate our advanced print equipment to print faithful, consistent reproductions from the digital files.

They are sharp, detailed and vibrant with an impressive colour range - up to 99% Pantone coverage & Lifetime fade-free.

Our lead times are currently 3-7 working days to dispatch.

UK prints are sent 24 hours tracked, EU is 3-8 working days and rest of world would be between 4-12 working days (EU and worldwide times can vary).

PACKAGING

All A4 prints/canvas are packed In a hardback A4 envelope, A3 and above sizes will be sent rolled inside a recycled postal tube.

Stretched Canvas will be sent boxed.  We take great care to make sure your prints arrive well packaged and protected.

RETURNS

 We have a 14-day return policy on eligible products, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to contact us for a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, carefully secured and packed In its original packaging.
